Sunlight Brain Research Center
[Origin of Name]
The name of our laboratory, Sankosha, comes from the fact that our grandparents ran a bathhouse called Sanko-yu in Japanese. The English name of "Sankosha" is derived from the words "sun" and "light". And to show that it is a brain research center, Sankosha is described as "Sunlight Brain Research Center. The acronym SBR stands for Strong empathy, Brain science, and Reciprocal fairness.
[Background]
Mental function and physical function are closely related. We approach the mysteries of brain function from a variety of perspectives, from sociocultural to molecular biological. We are searching for new knowledge that is not bound by the conventional wisdom of psychopharmacology.
[Objective]
To consider human brain function within the framework of modern society.

Various lecture activities, psychopharmacological research, advice and support for research methods, and joint research.
Takahiko Nagamine, MD,PhD
I graduated from Yamaguchi Prefectural High School in 1975, Jichi Medical School of Medicine in 1981, and Jichi Medical Graduated University School of Medicine in 1990. I have received many awards including Welfare Best Paper Award, Academic Encouragement Excellence Award of the Japanese Primary Care Association, the Best Paper Award of the Essay Contest for Health and Medical Care, the Best Paper Award in Commemoration of the 2001 Special Commemoration of the Japan Medical Association, the Public Policy Research Institute Best Paper Award, and the Yomiuri Shimbun Award.
I am currently an emergency physician, and industrial physician, and my main area of research, besides clinical practice, is psychopharmacology.
